Halter Show Details:
Alpacapalooza Halter Show:
- The Alpacapalooza Halter Show follows the AOA Show Rules & Guidelines.
- Judging criteria: 50% fleece and 50% conformation.
- For the latest rules and regulations, please refer to the 2024 AOA Show Rule handbook. (Note: Special attention should be given to the rules regarding grey and roan animals.)
Entry Requirements:
- To enter the show, owners must provide a copy of the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (Health Certificate) for each alpaca.
- The certificate should include the ARI number, alpaca name, microchip number, and negative BVD results.
- Full Fleece Fiber length should be a minimum of 2 inches. Please contact Sue Steensma (509-679-6170) or Steve Johnson (503-703-6144) if you have concerns about your animal's fiber length.
Regular Classes:
- Each show affiliate will hold Bred and Owned (B&O) Classes.
- Group Production Classes (hosted by Alpacapalooza only) include Get of Sire, Produce of Dam, and Breeder’s Best Three.
- Group Production entries must be eligible and entered in the show's respective Full Fleece Halter Classes.
Important Note:
- Alpacas entered in the Bred & Owned Production classes may not be entered in their appropriate Age-Color-Gender-Breed Halter class.
