Trillium Lane Alpacas

Fritz is the very first alpaca we purchased in 2007. We met him and his owner at an alpaca show, kept in touch, and ultimately decided to purchase him. Never mind that we lived in town with no place to keep him! We went on to purchase 5 acres near Tenino, Wa., and built our home. We learned as much as we could about alpacas while Dan worked away at fencing while the house was being built. After several visits to Cascade Shadow's Alpacas in Salem, Or., we decided to purchase a couple of his buddies to bring home to keep him company. He has become our farm mascot, and likely has a forever home with us. Although we didn't originally purchase him for breeding when it came time to breed our first female we chose him because of his amazing density and fleece characteristics he could bring to the dam. We weren't disappointed! Tobias is the cria from that breeding to Ivy and although he may not turn out to become a herdsire (3 - 17% is a tough cut to make) he inherited Fritz's density and nice crimpy fleece. Fritz comes from excellent bloodlines, with Alpine Fiber's Augustus (father) and PPeruvian Felix (grandfather)and the one and only Peruvian Hemingway was his great-grandfather. Our logo on our business cards is a characature of Fritz!
