Huacaya, Female, Proven, Medium Brown, 1/2 Peruvian, 1/8 Chilean
ARI# 30903104 | DOB: 8/25/1999
Cassandra isn't a flashy alpaca, and she doesn't have the flashy pedigree, but her fleece data and EPD's tell it all! This medium brown female has some of THE BEST EPD's on our farm. Her soft dense fleece has a staggering micron count of 23, even though she is more than 10 years old. She has given us phenomenal cria and would be a wonderful addition to your breeding program.

Vega is a beautiful medium brown female with wonderful soft, curly, and dense fleece. She would be a wonderful addition to your color breeding program as her fleece is a single color throughout. Her sire is Studmaster BRUNELLO. Her dam Cassandra, has held a 23 micron fleece diameter consistently thru 10 years. This combination proved to be VERY NICE as she is at 21 microns. The awards Vega has received for her fleece in 2013 are amazing. Vega has received multiple blue ribbons for her fleece. Judges have said her fleece has 'GOOD BRIGHTNESS AND CHARACTER' and 'GOOD BRIGHTNESS IN THIS FINE FLEECE' and consistently gets high marks for Uniformity. She would be an excellent addition to anyone's color program.

Her name means 'the swooping (eagle)" and is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra. It is the fifth brightest star in the night sky and the second brightest star in the northern celestial hemisphere, after Arcturus. It is a relatively close star at only 23 light years from Earth, and, together with Arcturus and Sirius, one of the most luminous stars in the Sun's neighborhood. This star lies at the vertex of the Summer Triangle, which consists of the zero-magnitude stars Vega in the constellation Lyra and Altair in Aquila, plus the first magnitude star Deneb in Cygnus. This formation is the approximate shape of a right triangle, with Vega located at its right angle. The Summer Triangle is recognizable in the northern skies for there are few other bright stars in its vicinity.
