Premier's Gold Standard

Huacaya, Male, Proven, Light Fawn, 3/4 Peruvian, 1/4 Chilean
ARI# 30463189 | DOB: 6/15/2009
Gold Standard has made us very proud! He has consistently placed well and ribboned in every showring he has entered. With Gold Standard's genotype and phenotype, he sets the course as an outstanding stud. The best part is Gold Standard's disposition - he is a joy to work with inside and outside the showring!

All of his cria are "stamped" in the same way! They all have broad chests, straight legs, large bone, great staple length and nicely wound crimp! Gold Standard has 10 crias on the ground...

Description

Jedidiah is a modern dark rose grey with a white spot gene which makes her not a good match for our gray breeding program. We bred her for the first time to our light silver gray herd-sire and we were quite surprised when they produced a blue-eyed white male cria that was completely deaf. The little guy was absolutely perfect in every other way and had simply amazing fleece! He sold quickly as a pet/fiber boy to a wonderful new family.

She is one of the larger alpacas on our farm and pretty much an average girl just about anyway you look at it. She still has nice crimp with average density and staple. Her most striking feature is the long feathering on her ears and long eyelashes!

She is well mannered and easy to handle. She walks well on the halter and would be a good match for individuals new to alpacas.

For future breeding, we would strongly suggest that she be bred to a medium sized, solid colored male. Unfortunately for us, we do not have any solid colored herd sires, so she just will not work with our breeding program. She is being sold "open".

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a breeding female with minimal capital investment.
